The Amazing Secret Of A Top Business Expert Who Doesn’t Believe In “Generating” Traffic

Do you remember starting your first business? There I was, starting an eBay business. I wholesaled a TON of random electronic parts (think Radio Shack). When they arrived on that fateful summer day, I thought, THIS IS IT! I’m rich!

I hoped that I could sell these random electronic pieces for double what I paid for each piece. How did I come up with that metric? Easy… I made it up out of thin air. Really.

At the time, my big struggle was that I had no market, no plan, no niche, and no more money. I made the impulse purchase because I slept on the couch in my mom’s trailer, and I wanted to set us financially free.

That meant I needed to sell this entire shipment of electronic parts or go out of business just like Radio Shack.

The “high” of my impulsive business venture wore off quickly, and all that was left were feelings of regret and anxiety.

You see, I assumed (never assume) that businesses need to “generate” traffic. Then, I received a yellow letter from the IRS. Let’s say they weren’t sending me a message to cheer me on.

I tried to set up a business with NO experience. I created a DBA (doing business as) and assumed (never assume) that since I didn’t make any money selling electronic parts, I don’t need to do anything (with regards to the IRS) at tax time. BIG mistake.

The yellow letter inside that envelope was a bill for thousands of dollars. I felt like the world was crashing around me. I never sold any of those thousands of electronic parts.

But, you won’t believe what happened…

A top business icon helped me realize that I didn’t have any problems, as long as I could write a check for them.

It also occurred to me that being successful in business and writing those kinds of checks didn’t mean I needed to “generate” traffic, but I needed to go where the traffic already is.

So I decided to switch my mindset and become obsessed with finding where my customers were “hanging out” online.

I planned to find the people who needed my solutions and introduce them to it; instead of trying to convince cold traffic (who might not need my solution) why they need it.

But there was an issue…

Although I now realized It was easier to market to people who already need what I have, I didn’t know how to find them.

In the end, it became clear that “I” needed to become “we.” Running a successful business requires team members, and team members require a strong leader.

We created a leadership framework that allowed us to turn each employee into a world-class leader, which meant we could now feel confident that our business wouldn’t fail because of one key person.

We call the framework the “Lead Your Life” system.

EVERYONE became a key person. This framework means I gained more TIME FREEDOM while getting paid for not needing to be at the business.

That was almost six years ago, and when all is said and done, I’ve been able to have more time with my family, take my life back, and earn more money passively than I ever did showing up at my business.

And this means that I’m able to serve people at the highest levels and wake up with a powerful sense of fulfillment and pride for my business.

What this means for you is that you can break free from feeling like a hostage to your business!

But, your employees need to become world-class leaders who can run and grow your business for you.

That’s why you need the “Lead Your Life” system, so you can learn to create leadership movements- in your business.
