The Sweetest Sound Entrepreneurs Hear Online Is The Sales “Ding” Of Their Shopping Cart
Not long ago, I felt challenged with this HUGE project… I want to share the story… and what you can learn from it.
There I was, palms sweating and heart racing. I wasn’t in danger, but I was sitting in front of a laptop.
I wanted to sell my newly created leadership courses, and my dream was to give struggling entrepreneurs a solution that turns themselves and their employees into world-class leaders.
I was having a hard time with the chatter in my head, yelling negative thoughts. It was distracting and hard to turn off.
You see, my team and I were working 15 hour days, seven days a week, for months to rollout these courses.
That meant an unsuccessful rollout would be a loss of hundreds of hours and more money than I had ever spent in business.
That made me feel scared, anxious, and excited. Talk about a nerve-wracking moment!
Then I sat in front of the laptop, only a click away from sending our courses out to our traffic. The pressure felt so intense that I felt like giving up.
But I didn’t because of one moment…
My wife looked at what I was getting ready to do and spend when everything changed.
She said, “Don’t forget you’re not doing this alone.” Wow. I thought that this launch’s success or failure solely affected me; that I was in it alone. But I wasn’t, and I never would be.
As a result, I dug deep and pushed past my fears of losing money or falling apart.
So I decided to push forward with the launch, so I could be an inspiring example to everyone who trusts me.
But we weren’t out of the woods…
We had to deal with the new problem of being out of our comfort zone and within some unfamiliar territory (the growth zone).
To overcome the challenge, we started tracking metrics and learning where we might need to repair it. We learned from business leaders who had been in our situation and gotten past it.
That allowed us to feel confident that we understood what could go wrong, how we could repair it, and who could help us.
This insight showed us that we could move forward by learning from the leaders who came before us. We didn’t need to feel scared because we weren’t leaving our launch to guesswork; it was systematic and proven.
In the end, we were able to launch our leadership courses and push past the fear that tried to cripple us.
And that meant I could reach a new level of confidence and leadership that I had never experienced.
What this means is that we saw our family legacy unfolding before our eyes. We built something that will serve humanity and give our children powerful leadership principles that they can cherish and share with future generations.
The most important take away from this is that fear can never stop a leader.
So what this means to you in your life/business is that you have people that count on you. Your business and your family need to see you stand against fear.
So here’s your next step as it relates to what we shared here: Get my FREE 5-step program, “Lead Your Life,” to transform yourself into a business leader that stands against fear and takes proven actions to grow your business.
