However, the big problem was that authorities were actively looking to arrest Abagnale (as he pretended to teach sociology at the Brigham Young University).

His con game was in jeopardy and he was facing a lot of trouble.

Abagnale finally got caught. But, the shocking part was when authorities asked him how he conned his way into being a professor, with NO experience. They discovered his simple trick that we can all use (ethically)!
